Read Full GAO Report On Bush's Failure To Destroy Al-Qaeda
By Cliff Montgomery - Apr. 23rd, 2008
Yesterday The American Spark printed sections of a shocking Government Accountability Office (GAO) study
which discovered that, "six and a half years after the vicious Sept. 11th, 2001, terror attacks on America by al-
Qaeda, the Bush Administration still has not created a comprehensive plan to hunt down and destroy the heart
of the terrorist network," to quote the Spark article.
Today, we've decided to offer our readers the full GAO report, so they may read this eye-opening record for
themselves.
"Combating terrorism is the United States’ top national security priority at home and abroad," the report
emphatically stated.
"Since 9/11, U.S. national security strategies have consistently called for using all elements of national power
to combat terrorism--including diplomatic, military, intelligence, development assistance, economic, and law
enforcement support," the GAO study added.
"A comprehensive plan to combat terrorism...that establishes goals, objectives, priorities, outcomes, and
milestones, including specific performance measures, would allow an assessment of progress and help ensure
accountability of U.S. efforts," the GAO concluded.
We couldn't agree more.
